“Living Deeply”
A Great Book!

“A brilliant synthesis of science and wisdom from the world’s greatest
spiritual traditions, both ancient and modern, translated into practical tools
for anyone who is seeking more depth and meaning in their life.”
- Deepak Chopra, M.D.,
one of the world’s most respected leaders
in the field of mind-body medicine

Our special guest today is Marilyn Mandala Schlitz, Ph.D., is a clinical research scientist, medical anthropologist, writer, speaker, thought leader, and change consultant. Her work over the past three decades explores the interface of consciousness, science, and healing. Dr. Schlitz is vice president for research and education at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, a senior scientist at the California Pacific Medical Center Research Institute in San Francisco, and co-founder and chief learning officer for the Integral Learning Corporation. She has published hundreds of articles on consciousness studies, lectured widely on a variety of topics including talks at the United Nations, the Smithsonian Institution, and the Explorers Club. She has taught at Trinity College, Stanford University, and Harvard Medical Centers.

Marilyn along with Cassandra Vieten, Ph.D., and Tina Amorok, Psy.D. wrote the newly released book “Living Deeply: The Art and Science of Transformation in Everyday Life”. “Living Deeply” draws from 30 years of research from the Institute of Noetic Science on human consciousness. In their book they show how science and spirituality are interconnected; providing a framework for creating your own journey as well as showing how your transformation links to a larger wave of collective and global consciousness.

Bookhabit

The Bookhabit.com website aims to foster our shared love of books and support the creative process. For readers, we aim to offer new and different experiences. For writers, we encourage your writing and help you to get your work published and discovered. And we aim to provide a forum for interaction among the dynamic community of readers and writers.

Bookhabit can assist and complement the mainstream publishing industry by seeking out quality in a way that publishers would never have the resources to do. Publishers employ hundreds of readers, yet struggle to make an impression on the mountains of manuscripts submitted to them. A key aim of Bookhabit is to enlist the reading public to do the legwork for publishers, to start the editorial process, to test the market, and, ultimately, to earn the writer a book deal.
